90 grados

90 grados is a visual reflection on privacy and intimacy within the domestic space, the second part of a broader exploration of the relationship between humans and their environment. While El Pueblo addressed the communal space, 90 grados focuses on the private space, the place where the person lives their everyday life.

This photographic project, composed of a triptych, examines the intersection between physical space and the identity of the person who inhabits it. The central photograph shows the corner of a room, where two walls meet—an unassuming intersection that, in its precise geometry, mirrors the intersection between the individual and their environment. The corner becomes a point of tension, a visual boundary between the private and the public, between what is seen and what remains hidden.

The images on the left and right represent personal, intimate, and subjective aspects of the person inhabiting this space. Through these details, everyday objects and elements become symbols of a complex inner life, and in their connection with the space, a subtle portrait of the individual emerges. By observing these details, the person is perceived through their relationship with their environment, revealing how personal space becomes an extension of their identity.

90 grados is not just a portrait of the house, but of the person who inhabits it. Each image, each angle, conveys the coexistence between the human being and their space, creating a visual narrative that unfolds between the visible and the hidden, between what is part of the personal experience and what defines a space that is shared yet private.
